Ray Legere is the 2003 ECMA (East Coast Music Award) Winner for 'Bluegrass Artist Of The Year, an award he also won in 1996.
 The Amherst, Nova Scotia native is becoming known as one of Canada's premiere fiddle/mandolin players. Ray is a five-time winner of the Eastern Division Bluegrass Awards in the categories of Mandolin and Fiddle ' Player of the Year', honors which have distinguished him with a 'Masters Award' for each.
His love for Bluegrass has found him playing alongside his heroes, David Grisman, Sam Bush, Tony Rice, Jerry Douglas, Tony Trischka, Doc Watson, and Bela Fleck.

Workshop: Graphic Design For the Rest of Us

Instructor Bob Carew walks participants through the basics of graphic design and will show how to create eye-catching ads, flyers, post cards and web pages. Carew is a graphic design teacher at Curry College and owner of the firm Design By Design. He will cover the elements of a design project, how to choose fonts, how to artfully use white space and successful ways to use photos and graphics. Gregory Said An influential literary critic (culture and Imperialism, etc.), writes movingly and honestly about his life of dislocation and exile. Prompted by a diagnosis of leukemia in 1991, Said's new book is infused with a desire to document not only a life, but a time and place -- Palestine in the 1930s and '40s -- that has since vanished. Jess Clemons considers herself new to songwriting. But you wouldn't guess it after hearing just a few of her soul-filled songs delivered with her gutsy, smokey voice. At 22, this Vermont native has self-released two independent records, toured across Canada and New England, travelled through South America, and completed a bachelor's degree in Canada. She plays everything from livingrooms to festivals, and recently filled Nova Scotia's Al Whittle Theater for her CD release show in February, 2007. Free Admission.
